Johnny Wants to Come Back

As you know, Johnny Damon is trying to make up with all the Red Sox fans. The full-page ad, the repeated thank yous and blah blah blah. Now, I think there's more to it than appeasing people that really shouldn't matter to him anymore. I believe that Mr. Damon wants to come back!

He cries with his children upon telling them he has to leave the greatest city ever and go to NY (which I have to say is a great city too but the Bronx sux k), he always says he wanted to stay but they didn't want him enough, and now he's basically saying I LOVE YOU ALL DON'T HATE ME PLEASE to all of RSN. Please, Johnny. I see through your thinly veiled effort to hide just how much you miss good old Boston Already.

Today on my favorite show ever Pardon the Interruption, Tony Reali asked what the odds were of Red Sox fans forgiving Damon. Kornheiser was out of his mind when he said 100% and Wilbon was on track when he said 10%. Johnny can try, and try he certainly has, but the fact is he went to the Yankees. How can we forgive him for that? We can ignore, forget, pretend, rationalize...but Forgive? He's gonna have to do something really big for that to ever happen.


More importantly, Tony Kornheiser will be one of the 3 new MNF hosts. With him on board, I might start watching MNF even when the Patriots aren't playing!
