Bronson Arroyo is Gone

In a very upsetting to me move, the Red Sox have traded Bronson Arroyo to the Reds for Wily Mo Pena. This is the second time in less than a year that they have traded my favorite player (the first being Mark Bellhorn last year).

Earlier, Arroyo had signed a deal (against the wishes of his agent) for less money, knowing he might not get to be a starter and his deal would make it easier for him to be traded. As I have stated before, he is the anti-Damon. He stated numerous times that he wanted to stay in Boston at all costs. And then they trade him. Baseball is a business. Clearly.

This is a very sad day for me. Especially after how he pitched yesterday, that was the last thing I expected to see on the Red Sox site. Triple-takes, I tell you.

Now what am I going to do when I go to the games (in THREE weeks)? My jerseys are Bellhorn and Arroyo...thanks a lot, management!
