Time to Get Back on Track
Tonight's match is the first in a series against Cleveland. The Indians have a pretty good team, but Schilling is pitching and I don't think they will be a problem tonight. I think with Schilling, Wakefield, and Beckett pitching this series, we may be able to get a sweep and get back on track. Losing both Toronto series is not really very good, so a sweep will do nicely. Plus, the Yankees have an upcoming series with Tampa Bay, so these games are important. Well, they all are.
Mark Loretta amused me with a comment he made on Papelbon's new hair. “That was from a bet he won - a reward. Maybe there’s a lack of fundamental understanding there on how to wager.”
And though Stern and Mohr are (were) making a decent effort at center (and sometimes are rather impressive), I can't wait until Coco Crisp comes back. I think his absence is noticeable, despite Francona's insistence that Youkilis is doing a swell job in the leadoff spot. Mid-May, they're saying. Well, mid-May cannot come fast enough.
