Once again, I was playing tennis and had to miss the first 7 innings of the game. I taped it, but I have to go to Rhode Island starting Saturday and may not be able to watch it until next week. But I was able to see Coco Crisp make the most incredible diving catch to end NY's 8th, then David Ortiz put the nail in the coffin with a solo HR to put the Sox up 4-2.

12 wins in a row. Up by 4 games in the standings. First time the Mets have lost 3 in a row all season. This is great.

And since I will be on "vacation" (visiting family), I'm not sure what kind of posting schedule I'll be on. But by next Sunday I'll be back with definite regular posts. Have comfort in the knowledge that I will finally have NESN for a week, and that is the best part of the trip.

Edit: Coco's catch was the #1 web gem last night, and the #1 play on SportCenter's list. Loretta and Youkilis also had a pretty play that made #3 on SC's top plays!
