Homeruns in the Wrong Direction

Giving up two grand slams two nights in a row is BAD.

The starting pitcher only going 4 2/3 innings is BAD.

Not having a reliable bullpen is just the WORST.

All in all, a very unspectacular game. Coco Crisp hit a solo homerun, and that was about it for us.

Seanez managed to pitch a whole inning without giving up a run, while the other 3 pitchers (Clement, Van Buren, and Delcarmen) each gave up at least one. Minnesota's bullpen gave up exactly zero runs. Quite a difference. A pretty glaring one, actually.

A final score of 8-1 was rather depressing, especially considering Tuesday's intense game. I really wish Clement would start being good all of the time instead of some of the time. And I wish even more that the Yankees would stop winning and being in first place.

Something really needs to happen with starting pitchers. Like, get more than 2.5 (.5 because sometimes Wakefield) good ones.
