3 Things You Need to Know About Last Night's Game:
1. Beckett was phenomenal. He went 8 innings and had a no-hitter going until the 6th. He had retired 17 in a row before some fool singled.
2. Manny Ramirez hit a 3-run homerun and followed it up with another solo shot later in the game. He had 5 RBIs last night, and Lowell had this to say, "He hadn't seen a changeup all day. His first at-bat he saw two other pitches . . . to stay on it and crush it like that, that's why he makes so much money. He can do what other guys can't."
3. Gabe Kapler is loved even more - he too hit a 3R HR last night. On the first pitch, just like Ortiz likes to do.
Another interleague victory, 10-2 this time. That's 7 wins in a row and we're still holding a 2 game lead in the standings.
I bought a new TV yesterday, and I was so looking forward to watching the Red Sox today on FOX, but I have to play tennis at 1:30 and the game is at 1. Gonna have to tape it and avoid scores until I get home.
