5.5 games out of the Wild Card, and Chicago and Minnesota are only separated by half a game. And Boston should win the next 3 games with Kansas City as their opponent. However, we all remember being swept by the Royals a short while ago, so nothing is guaranteed.

Hey, remember when they were down 3 games to the Yankees in '04? Maybe they can work their way out of this huge hole...but with the way the season's been going, I wouldn't bet on it. Don't give up, but don't count on it.
