Things that happened last night that also happened on Friday night:
- The Red Sox mounted a comeback
- Manny Delcarmen gave up 3 runs in an inning (the 12th this time, in the form of a pretty pathetic-looking HR that just curved around the pole)
- One team had a 6-run inning
- The bullpen again murdered every last bit of joy

Things that were different:
- Mike Timlin didn't blow the lead or the game
- Keith Foulke pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief
- It was 12 innings of pain instead of 9

Things that make you want to punch someone in the brain:
- KC scoring 6 runs in the 12th
- Boston's bullpen always gives up the lead then immediately gets the third out

Things that if they happen, I will probably kill something:
- Red Sox get swept by the Royals AGAIN

Things that look more and more every day like they won't happen:
- Red Sox in the postseason

I am so done with this bullpen. I am incredibly angry at the organization for not dealing with this sooner, and for expecting Julian Tavarez and Rudy Seanez to be good relievers. I'm ready for this miserable season to be over, because you know even if the Sox somehow get into the playoffs, the bullpen will be there to screw it all up at the most inopportune times. Even Papelbon couldn't save this bloody bunch.
