Best part of the game: Jeter misplays the ball for what would have been the 3rd out of the 6th inning. 2 Detroit runs go on to score.

I gave Kenny Rogers a standing ovation of my own after he went 7 2/3 scoreless innings and struck out Damon and Abreu in the 8th. He pitched so so so fantastically and it made me so happy! Kenny, I never cared about you before but you totally made my day today.

Basically, Detroit was on and NY was off. And that's the way I like it.
