More Love for DP
Well look at this right here: Dustin Pedroia was awarded with a Silver Slugger!
(kind of diminishes it when you see Jeter and A-Rod won it too)
but hey! What am I talking about, that is really awesome. I'm beginning to wonder if my streak of favorite-player-bad-luck has ended? As you may know, as soon as I pick a favorite player, they either get traded or find some other way to leave the team. Most recently was Trot Nixon, before that Bronson Arroyo, before that Mark Bellhorn, and way back when, it was Shea Hillenbrand. Of course my first real favorite was Mo Vaughn, and he just got into the Red Sox Hall of Fame!
So anyway, my point now is, Dustin Pedroia has been my favorite for a couple years now, and in that time he has won Rookie of the Year, a Golden Glove, a Silver Slugger, and he WILL win AL MVP next week. And that is usually how things work for me: after I decided my favorite tennis player was Juan Carlos Ferrero, he won the French Open. I picked Djokovic, he got good. I picked Bronson and he got good (of course then he got bad again, so...). Maybe it's not always 100%. But as long as DP keeps up his excellent baseball playing, it'll be okay.
