More DP for Many Years!

You know, I read this the other day and forgot to write about it (probably because of a histology final I had today!), so here it is: The Red Sox and Pedroia reached an agreement Wednesday on a six-year, $40.5 million contract. Included in the deal is a seventh-year club option worth $11 million.

Pedroia for another 6 years. Life is good.

"I'm happy with this, extremely excited. My wife is excited. My parents, they're ecstatic. All my friends, even my teammates. I want to be here. I want to play for the Red Sox. I don't want to play for anybody else. It just seemed right to do something."

There you go. I'm happy, he's happy, everyone else is happy.

But I'll be a lot more happy when my anatomy final is over in a couple weeks...
