Johnny's Deal

Take the deal, Johnny. A Damon-less season is a bad season.

So about this MVP mess..what a letdown. Has any DH ever done so much for his team? Has any player who doesn't play defense ever contributed that much to a team? Would the Red Sox have even been in the post season without him? There is NO WAY Rodriguez made as big an impact in NY as Ortiz made in Boston. What a fucking rip-off. Clearly, I'm still really upset about it.

No News Better Be Good News

Not hearing anything about Johnny, and I'm hoping all is going well on that front. If the Red Sox lose Theo AND Damon..well, you won't be seeing me for a while because I'll be locked in my room crying and cursing the organization.

Anyway, is anyone else bored with Manny's antics? I mean, I will definitely miss him if he goes (now that I couldn't take, Theo, Johnny, AND Manny), but he's kind of like a bad boyfriend. He leads you on and tells you he only wants to stay with you, then a few months later he's asking to see other people. Come on, Manny, make a decision and stay with it. Boston loves you, so stay and shut up or go to another team and try to not to play so great.

Awards Time

Lots of awards to go around. We got some Silver Sluggers, a Gold Glover, that Hank Aaron one. Varitek cleaned up with SS and GG, and Manny and Ortiz both got SS. I am now waiting in eager anticipation for November 14th, and if David Ortiz is not the AL MVP, we will all know that the system sucks.

Still reeling over the Theo decision. I think my dad was upset that he didn't get to break the news to me, since he likes to see me suffer (it's the Yankee fan in him, you see). I remember when Nomar got traded, and I had just woken up, he says, "You know, that Nomar is a really good guy." Obviously, when a Yankee fan says something good about a Sox player, you know something's up (and vice versa). So yeah, he's all HE'S NOT ON THE RED SOX ANYMORE and well, it all worked out for the best, no?

I got nothing else, except I'm not hearing any Johnny news, and I want some, and I want it to be he's staying for a long time. At least I don't have to worry about Bronson leaving for a while.

Or I better not have to.
